ALLOTMENT AND LIFTING OF WHEAT
As the rice is a staple food in the State, the State Government
has not opted for wheat under BPL and hence there is no allocation under
BPL. A quantity of MTs. 12806 of wheat per month under APL is being
allotted by Govt. of India. The wheat is being lifted from the FCI
depending upon the demand under PDS in the District. As the rice is a

ALLOTMENT AND LIFTING OF LEVY SUGAR
Govt. of India is allotting 9690 MTs. of Levy Sugar every month for
distribution to the BPL cardholders. Sugar is being lifted form factories
basing on demand under PDS.

In addition to the cost, Corporation is paying 1% market fee and
4% sales tax in case of ex-north rice.In respect of releases under
SGRY (Regular), SGRY (Spl. Component) only market fee at 1% and
sales tax 4% (ex-north rice) is being paid to FCI at its economic
cost.
