About Corporation

The Andhra Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited was incorporated in the year 1974, as a limited company under the Companies Act 1956.The share capital of the Company was fully contributed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Corporation functions with the main objective to engage in, promote, improve, develop counsel and finance production, purchase, storage, processing, movement, transport, distribution and sale of food grains, foodstuffs and any other essential commodities and to establish laboratories for the purpose of ensuring quality control, to train personnel in the technique of quality control, and to provide services and assistance of all kinds of the said purchases including capital credit, means, resources, technical and managerial services. Advice and assistance.

Presently, the AP State Civil Supplies Corporation is engaged in the following activities:

• As an agent of the State Government to purchase, transport, storage, handling and distribution of rice, levy sugar, wheat under Public Distribution System as per allotment ,made by the Government of India.
• To purchase, transport, storage, handling and distribution of rice under various welfare schemes viz., AAY, AP, NNM, WBNP, SGR (R), SGR (SC), NFWP, SWH, SWI, NPNSPE as per the allotment made by the Government of India.
• To promote paddy under Minimum Support Price Operations to ensure MSP to farmers, custom milling thereon and deliver to FCI.
• To procure Maize under Minimum Support Price operations and disposed of the same through FCI.
• Distribution of LPG as dealer appointed by Oil companies.
• Distribution of LPG under Deepam scheme.
• Distribution of Kerosene Oil as wholesale dealer appointed by Oil companies.
• To procure and distribution of onions, tamarind, chillies, redgram dal, sona masuri rice under Market Intervention Operations to control rise in prices and to make available to the consumers at affordable prices.
• To procure and distribute iodized salt (crystal and free flow) under Public Distribution Scheme.
• To procure and distribution of free trade kerosene oil.

The Chief Executive of the Corporation i.e., the Vice Chairman & Managing Director, who is an appointee of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, manages the day to day activities of the Organization subject to the control and directions of the Board.
